Walters et al. v. McMahen et al. (Perdue Farm Class Action)
This is a RICO class action brought against the plant managers and human resources personnel at Perdue Farms, Inc. for hiring illegal aliens and for falsely attesting on I-9 Forms that illegal aliens presented genuine work authorization documents. This class action is brought on behalf of all the legally authorized, hourly paid workers, nationwide, at Perdue from 2006 through the present, to compensate them for the “wage depression” (i.e. below market wages) caused by the Defendants’ illegal hiring practices.

This is a RICO class action brought against Scott Salyer, the former owner of SK Foods, LP (located in Lemore, California), for conspiring to hire illegal aliens. The case is pending in the Eastern District of California.

Broussard et al. v. Maples et al. (Maples Industries Class Action)
This is a RICO class action brought against the owners, officers and human resource managers at Maples Industries, Inc. (located in Scottsboro, Alabama) for hiring illegal aliens and for falsely attesting on I-9 Forms that illegal aliens presented genuine work authorization documents. Cohen v. Cohen
This is a RICO law suit brought on behalf of Patricia Cohen, former wife of Steven A. Cohen. The lawsuit alleges that her former husband and his lawyer falsely claimed a $9 million investment had gone “sour,” and been completely lost. The lawsuit claims the investment was in reality worth over $5 million, ultimately costing her at least $2.7 million she should have got in the couple’s separation. The suit is requesting at least the $2.7 million. Foster PC filed Ms. Cohen’s Second Amended Complaint, oral arguments were held before Judge Holwell in January 2011.

Trustees Goldsmith and Baldiga v. Massad et al.
Foster PC has been appointed as Special Counsel to the Bankruptcy Trustee in In re Nicholas J. Fiorillo No. 10-44179-MSH and In re Tracy L Krowel No. 11-43854 MSH, to pursue RICO claims against persons who allegedly extorted money and property from the debtor (and their entities) in loan transactions. The damages are estimated to be over six million dollars.
Hourani and Hourani v. Mirtchev and Krull Corporation.
Foster PC, along with Co-Counsel Crowell & Moring, LLP of Washington D.C., represent brothers Devincci and Issam Hourani, former Kazakhstan nationals, in a RICO suit alleging a conspiracy by the Defendant to extort the Houranis’ business holdings, including Alma Media, an international media conglomerate. The suit also alleges that the Defendants illegally laundered the proceeds of this extortion from their base of operation in Washington D.C., as well as a conspiracy to defame the Houranis. The suit seeks over a hundred million dollars in damages and is currently pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Kaider v. Julie Hamos, Michelle R.B. Saddler, Dan Rutherford, Judy Baar Topinka
This case challenges the policy of the State of Illinois to allow illegal immigrants to obtain public benefits through the “All-Kids” and “Mom’s and Babies” programs. It is brought against four state officials in charge of the programs (including the State Treasurer and the State Comptroller). Plaintiff, Mr. Kaider seeks to enjoin the further illegal expenditure of state money.
